Is a Colbert Bump in our future?
August 25th, 2008 by Shane CoryAs we head into the next few weeks that will be dominated by the RNC and DNC conventions, we assumed that we would not be able to break through the media until at least mid-September.
Thankfully, we were wrong.
- Tomorrow night, Bob Barr will appear for his second time on the Colbert Report.
- On both Wednesday and Friday mornings, Bob will be appearing on CNN.
- And on Thursday, Glenn Beck will be taping another full hour with our candidate!
In addition to the unexpected media, we had another boost this past Friday when we learned that we’re actually climbing in the polls!
Right now, things are looking good for our campaign, but if we’re able to get into the debates, the sky is the limit.
If you put John McCain, Barack Obama and Bob Barr behind the podium, my money will be on the only candidate who can speak with honesty and sincerity in the interests of liberty — Bob Barr.
Please take the time today to show support for our candidate by making a donation, purchasing a yard sign for your home, or simply
telling a few friends about Bob Barr.
Also, tune in tomorrow night to Comedy Central for “The Colbert Report” and later, I’ll let you know if we get the coveted “Colbert Bump.”

Purchased a yard sign a couple weeks ago from the BARR store and a freedom hating Mcbamaist destroyed it. What a country we live in. Gonna buy 10 this time just in case!

Dude, Jessie, someone actually destroyed your Barr yard sign? That’s really lame! It’s sad that so many people in this country have to resort to damaging someone’s property just because they have a different opinion.

Unfortunately, the attitude about stifling others’ opinions and free speech comes from the top……from the leaders who are keeping third party candidates out of the debates and trying to keep them off the ballot.
It’s another indication of how wrong things are from the top down.

I was just at Glenn Beck’s site, and accoirding to his poll numbers, 13% of people in Wyoming aren’t voting for McCain or Obama, this is great because Wyoming leans heavily Libertarian

CNN has always been known as the “Clinton News Network” and didn’t Stephanopolous moderate a Hillary town meeting while supposedly being a journalist at ABC?

You are being buried in obscurity, you must get out. Lou Dobbs is urging everyone to register independent and makes very derogatory remarks about Obama-McCain. He wants a border protection and release of two officers arrested when they shot an illegal intruder with a load of marijuana. He talks almost identically to your proposals. I believe a heavy pile of mail and E-mail demanding that he give you proper exposure would be fruitful. He has a three hour radio show and one hour TV every night. Could you get word out across the country to supporters to have Bob Barr on his programs. I think it would work and he has a large and devoted fan club. Much mail from all around the country would serve you well.
One more suggestion which I used against Nixon was to show people that their vote does two things, serves to put someone in office for which you won’t get a birthday card but the most important is when you vote for the things you want you are telling the government what you want. If you don’t tell them they don’t know. Vote the candidate that best supports your views. That is the only way to get the cahnges that you want.

I had an interesting conversation tonight with a man claiming to vote for Obama for change. Ironically, in the same dialogue he was talking about how much he disliked liberals. Another oxymoron to this conversation was the fact that he is a driller and supports drilling off the east coast, ND and AK; yet he is voting for Obama for change. I asked him what Obama is going to change and his response was ” I don’t know, something, he’s fresh blood and he’s going to change something”. I wish the ignorant of our society would open their eyes and realize that they truly want to live in a society free and independent of govermental control. How can they not see that either of the two prime time candidates are nothing but the perpetuation of our socialist revolution started by the progressives with FDR? Its time that we speak out and educate the sheeple. Thank you Mr. Barr for actually taking a stand for our constitution and not going along with the party line.

This is really good news about all the national media events coming up! All the hard work contacting organizations is starting to pay off. Special thanks to everyone who had a hand in making this happen.
With this success we should redouble our efforts: contact every organization that has Bob on it’s shows so they and their sponsors know of the growing public interest in him and keep writing, calling and e-mailing the media to ask for more time devoted to Bob!

In another of the vids, Obama is heard stating on stage that when He is elected President, we will stop rebuilding Iraq and start rebuilding the US. That sounds nice and all, but check out the bill. Guess who it was introduced by? Barack Obama -AND- Biden. The following is an partial transcript of the Bill, check out how many 0’s are in it. I really hope youre sitting down to read this 3,125,000,000 per YEAR that he wants to put in the offering plate to give to the rest of the world. But that is only the beginning!!! By the year 2010 it’s supposed to double. Um, folks, thats barely over a year from now….
